    • AeroGrow is going MLM

Hi everybody! I found a company I have a little bit of news about a company that I think is going to do great. In the last few years I have been noticing that a lot of people are really getting into growing their own food and herbs etc. I don't know very much about gardening but I am definitely interested in the concept of doing inside. When you think about it, you go into the supermarket and there are rows of spices that cost a ton of money, and if you're into cooking you know you need the majority of them and if you cook more than once a day, they're gone in a couple of months easily. Well I think I may have found an answer to that, and this is something that won't require you to get dirty outside, mess up your clothes and end up with a dead or diseased, or critter damaged crop.

There is a company that has recently announced its going MLM, and its a product I have never quite tipped my bank for, but have been secretly eyeing for a long time. AeroGrow International was founded in 2002 in Boulder, Colorado, and they make hydroponic indoor gardens. These guys have already sold over a million of them. You can use these things to grow herbs, salad, tomatoes, greens, peppers, flowers, and any other things you would prefer to grow indoors where others can't see or get to. I think the idea is awesome because they are cleaner, smaller, and obviously indoors with an artificial light source.

Now before you research them they aren't yet an MLM company, but they are about to be, and its about time because this company has already established a quality, well know product and there isn't going to be any wasted time for anybody to spend wondering and researching if they are legit. AeroGrow announced that its in the process of forming a partnership with Cyrano Partners, LLC in order to expand their sales radius for the AeroGarden, effectively turning it into a multi-level marketing company. For those of you that aren't familiar with Cyrano, its a partnership between Steve Campbell, Melyn Campbell and Jack Peterson, whom are all popular in the MLM industry and among the top 50 MLM income earners in the world. Jack Peterson, was a long time executive of Nu Skin.

This past March, Aero and Cyrano had a meeting for the top MLM distributors, so they got pretty far into the game and are basically just working out the legal details, its as good as done in my opinion. AeroGrow will still be managing the whole thing, in addition to providing assets etc. While Cyrano will provide the distributor network, and compensation plan. I don't know of any word on an official launch but I plan on keeping status updates with this thread as it goes, I don't know why I just have the feeling this will be big. For now, AeroGrow and Cyrano have already established a Distributor and License Agreement which allows them to start selling into the MLM channel in advance of the joint venture transaction.

Lmao, Yvonne, I don't want to be presumptuous but are you referring to pot...? I have to say that I do think this machine is actually pretty damn cool. I don't know anything about the quality, how long it lasts, if you can get your money back etc, but the idea is definitely cool, and I guarantee more people will buy this to grow reefer than basil :P Of course I can't say Its a terrible idea as its better than trying to grow in a room that the feds have helicopters to try and spot. Anyway, all pot aside, It is a cool concept to grow herbs and vegetables inside where you can control the climate, moisture and light, and you can't go wrong with not having to till, dig and get dirty, although I happen to like that part of gardening.

Any idea how long it will be before they actually are an mlm company? Also, you do realize its not a definite that its going to happen, albeit its 95% complete, but there could still be a fail in that remaining 5, although unlikely. How big are these units, and how much electricity do they use? Can the height be adjusted? The other thing I was wondering is what else it does besides supply the right kind of light? Can you actually control the moisture/temperature etc? It would definitely be cool if you can. I think something like a little sprayer on a timer would be an awesome idea, especially for people on the go whom work a lot, and this is the kind of product you can definitely sell to both: people who are used to gardening, and especially those that would accidentally manage to grow poison ivy like myself.

I ask for but an update on this project Yvonne, as I am quite interested in the many possibilities made possible, by possibly growing the impossibly impossible. If so, that would be great. Many herbs and spices that simply cannot grow in a cold, northern climate such as my own, and I think it would be very exciting to have an everlasting stash of such spices, especially to impress my fellow tea night participants. Aerogrow has been slowly gaining in popularity and I am very curious to see if they manage to present a better package than we have seen with a few other more recent transitions. One of which involves massive product recalls.....Aerogrow, I am ready for you.

I checked on this one this morning, and haven't found a thing. Maybe I didn't look hard enough but it seems like the very last update was dated at April 13, and it doesn't seem like there has been anything since then. That isn't all that long though, and this was in the very, very early stages of development, so its easy to understand there being no details. I do happen to think this one will have a ton of potential though, with the only possible mistake being too high a price. This is a product that there are versions of all over the place, yet; few people have heard of them or know where to get them. Aerogrow is one of those terms that sticks, its attractive in visual marketing, it sounds good, its easy to remember, and it reflects the device it is used on. I can't say how high the quality is, or what the comp plan will be like, but that is basically what it will depend on. I see massive potential, and I hope they take off.
