    • Stream Energy claims "It's OK to switch. Really."  CEO, Rob Snyder, according to the website was recently interviewed for D CEO Magazine in October,2010, and the company is a finalist for the Platts Global Rising Star award for energy. The company also boasts of its philanthropic side, giving support to the H.E.A.T., Inc in Atlanta, GA which assists low-income families pay energy bills  and Captain Hope Kids.

A retail natural gas and energy company, Stream Energy is licensed in Texas, Georgia and Pennsylvania.  The website explains its association with another company called  Ignite. "When a customer is recruited by an Ignite Independent Associate, the customer receives his or her energy service and billing from Stream Energy. However, the Ignite Independent Associate serves as the customer’s energy service adviser and maintains the one-to-one relationship with the customer for as long as he or she stays on Stream Energy service."

The company claims to offer low rates, clear statements, excellent customer service and a tailor-made solution for businesses.  They review each business' unique requirement and design a plan accordingly rather than offering a "one-size fits all" plan. They are accredited by the Better Business Bureau and operates in states that have a deregulated energy program so they can offer low-cost and fixed rate plans.

The site states the company also offers contracted plans for residential customers.  Options such as a FAQ by state,  online bill pay and renewal are found on the Stream Energy website.  Residential customers are offered a tier rating system based on their kilowatt hours of usage in Texas, where as in Georgia, a variable rate plan is offered for the first two statements, then the Stream Energy "then current" variable rate plan applies.  In Pennsylvania, where the company has now received permission to operate, both a fixed rate and a variable rate plan if offered. Month to month and contracted 12 month plans are available.  The company also boasts of a "green and clean plan" that helps reduce greenhouse emissions.

The company is currently hiring field reps, independent associates with Ignite and CSRs. For more information about contracting with Stream Energy or Ignite, go to www.streamenergy.net .
