    • That was certainly true at the time although I believe the rules have been relaxed if it is a non-competing organisation. It is always a problem if you are actively marketing more than one MLM business, not just from the credibility aspect as most companies have rules against poaching. Personally I would  recommend to anyone wanting to build a long lasting Network Marketing/MLM business that they carefully research and select one company and stick with it. Although a few people do make large incomes quickly the vast majority find that it takes time, and consistant and persistant application, to create the credibility needed to build a business. To be promoting two businesses, or to keep changing companies, is not helpful. I feel that it is really important to select a company that has been operating, and survived, long enough to have the best chance of continuing success, so any company without a proven track record of less than three years should be considered a high risk investment. There is nothing worse than enthusiastically building an organisation with a new ground floor opportunity only to find that the company folds after a year or so, and frequently even earlier.

    • Wow, thanks for the brief intro Chris, just so I understood you correctly; You're saying that even if you join a competing company strictly as a consumer, it goes against the other company's policies? Seems like an awfully stern policy, especially if you and your wife relied on those products. I live faithfully by my beloved whey or hemp protein, and I can't imagine if I were selling it as a distributor; that I couldn't join a company that sold a similar product. In any event, I appreciate your input and always appreciate a little background on fellow posters. I may just do a small review on My Shopping Genie, and welcome you to correct any incorrect information I find and post in my research.

      Best regards.

    • Hello WallaceL,

Thanks for the info. I've just posted a blog about My Shopping Genie as a short intro just before I read your reply. I've been involved in Network Marketing/MLM for over 20 years and although I spent all that time exclusively with one company, until a year ago, I have been aware of, and studied, many others over the years. I still have a sizeable organisation in my original company although my wife now runs that business as I had to resign when I joined another MLM company.

One of the reasons for finding another business wss that we had developed the business based predominently on nutritional products, mainly through our Chiropractic business. Sadly two of the main products were removed from the market in the UK and as a result a lot of customers, and distributors, sourced their needs elsewhere, at a cheaper price and left the business. I mention this because it is not an uncommon problem to find that customers are frequently tied to only one or two products and are therefore much more vulnerable to a product change, or removal, than a more committed distibutor.

I did join, only as a user, another company to obtain replacement products for our own use, and I was informed by my original company that I had broken their rules by joining another company and had to resign. This is all petty stuff and I only write this as a warning to people who are looking to create long term financial security in this industry about some of the possible pitfalls.

Fortunately,a friend of mine invited me to look at My Shopping Genie a year ago and to me it answered many of the questions and reservations I had about the industry. To be honest I was never very comfortable or good at selling product. I was good at 'selling' the concept of the business and the potential it holds for anyone who grasps the opportunity to become successful, and I still believe that to be true.

MyNet Universe is a technology company that has been developing and proving the Genie for four years now, and the new web-based Genie is the culmination of all that work. Together with the Genie, which gathers Pay-Per-Click income and Affiliate commissions, the monthly sub provides access to a video email service, a localised Groupon style Daily Deal site for smaller businesses and a branding facility that effectively allows companies to be on the front page of Google. You can see all that on the website link www.myshoppinggenie.com/crc .

    • Hi Chris, It usually takes a week or so, but I'm sure the administrator will get right on it. I'm interested to learn more about My Shopping Genie also.

    • I'd like to share a great resource for everyone on how to build their lists and things they can do to market their websites and monetize their business.

The Traffic Dashboard was created by Kim Roach and she is a master at generating traffic, building a list and finding new and innovative ways to monetize online.  Her tips and techniques can be used in any online business - including direct sales, MLM and network marketing.

Full disclosure, I work with Kim as her affiliate manager :)

But her content is off the charts good.  She charges very little for the incredible content and you can take action right away.

So I'd love to share the resource with the group as well as Kim's websites to see if it will help someone.

      Thanks!

    • Unfortunately, it appears that Dan has left Jerky Direct.

So I will pick up the flag and request a Jerky Direct forum - I am in this one for life and doing okay with it. You can check my profile to see why!

    • So recently I took to putting ads on craig's list for home parties and business meetings. That has seemed to work well thus far. Also I made some flyers and went to bars and restaurants even hotels and left business cards as well. My newest venture is leads which i haven't started using but will get to this week. I'll let you know how they work out and maybe you can try to do the same thing.

    • You can request new forums for your company by mailing the admin or posting the request here.

Almost anything you post here ends up ranked very high on Google. So if you write about your company in a forum you will usually get lots of hit to your post. It provides very good 'link juice' back to your personal site if you use your URL in your posts.

      Google cPrime for an example.

It is a small forum and that's good. Less spam.

    • I just joined this week, but now that I am browsing the tabs I am questioning my decision (and I understand I can leave at any time).

I am looking for "professional/user" opinions here, and I am not sure that I will generate any given the Blog dates and Forum dates, it all seems to be a very "non-existent" type of "site!".

      Questions please:

Has anyone really seen any residuals from buying leads on Npros?

Also under the Forums here on Repspace, I see only a couple of MLM/Direct Sales/Home Party companies listed......why is that?
I searched for a way to add the one I am with, and have came empty handed.  The site seems to be representing only a couple of these in each forum.

Also, as to my post here is because I cannot find another place to put it!  I would like to hear from those that are using this website, not just from the Administrator.

    • I absolutely agree.  Getting burned = success.  Read policies and procedures BEFORE you join.  If you cannot access them before you join, DON'T JOIN!!!

    • I agree Mr. Watchdog....it is simple to do Your homework and very important as well.

The key to becoming successful in any MLM is making sure Your MlM stands up to the test.

Problem being there are so many promises of this and that......It takes being burned to realize that You need to investigate what your getting into....Getting burned equals Success!

You really don't have to investigate you policies and proceedures when buying a car or house because if they decided to take away your house or car after so many payments then they would lose validity as well as getting put out of business for bad practices and their reputation would precede them in the real world!

Online is a whole different deal.....We have to start looking at things like past history of the founders, as well as the policies and procedures, so we don't end up building a huge organization only to watch it crumble.....ie:Arbonne and Xler8......and yes the P&P's DO MATTER and you can find a company where they are in the distributors BEST interests......Believe it!

I hear so many big leaders saying ....Oh that's just a part of MLM....it really doesn't have to be.

It's just that big time people like to set big time protection in case they ever need to FIRE YOU and take away your check.

    • I'm always amazed when people choose to ignore the preponderance of negative information and throw down hard earned dollars with people who have seemingly worked quite hard to earn a negative reputation.

A BBB "F" reputation takes quite a bit of work.

Al Krauza and Jim Ferras have pissed off so many consumers that all it takes is a simple search of their names to find dozens of people who have lost money and faith in these clowns.

How do they convince people to continue to deposit their money in new deals, when all that seems to be happening is a shrugging off of prior reps, and a new business name?

    • January 27, 2010 3:39 AM PST
    • Consider yourself warned. Thats all I have to say.

    • January 27, 2010 3:21 AM PST
    • Good luck.

Based on prior results, sounds like the shelf life for any Al Krauza / Jim Ferras business is about 12 months before shutting the door and coming up with a new name.

    • Sorry to hear about your issues.

I have been in networking for over 5 yeas now and love it.  Whenever I see posts like this with no details of your personal issues and just random heresay's, really makes me weary of truth.  There is so much non-sense  posted on the web about every MLM owners, uplines without real details or merits that really makes me irk.

I truly hope your wrong about these guys.

All I know is this, I came in for $295 in November 09 and signed up 3 new reps and 1 drycleaner.

The 3 reps that I sponsored are doing well and got paid more than they ever made with our previous mlm ventures together (including monvia, herbalife and pre-paid).  I actually earned $1400 in past 3 months.  I see my dry cleaner guy once a week and he is very happy with is system.

I simply don't see how anyone can get hurt.. I was just notifed that they now lowered the entry fee to $50.  Why would they do that if they are trying to rip anyone off.

I never met jim or al personally but heard them on conf calls and i am comfortable with my position and earned income.  Anytime i can turn a $295 into $1400 is good business with happy clients and reps.

I can tell you this... i lost a tone of money and time with monavie and never made over $200 total in 5 months.

So.. i'm game with these guys.

Actually, very excited about new lower fees.

      God Bless.

    • Well now Jim Ferras and Al Krauza changed company names AGAIN! Now its BIZ82222. I don't understand for the life of me why these idiots are still at it and not locked behind bars. When I think of what they've done to me and my family and lots of other people, makes my heart pound and  sick to my stomach.

I hope that people are smart enough to research these dirt bags and read all the negative information on them and LEARN. STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THESE ANIMALS AS YOU CAN. They'll play sweet and say what you want to hear to get you to hand over some money for THEMSELVES. You won't be building a business for you, you'll be supporting Al and Jim and their spouses.

Jim will even bring his wife to functions and shes just as fake as he is. They prey on the naive and the ones who really want to make it big in the company. Its all sounds good but you have 2 morons who don't know squat about handling business running this company.

I've talked to so many people that said they called Al and Jim and the girls in the office to STOP withdrawing from their bank accounts, they didn't want to continue with this company. They always said "Ok, well stop the withdraws" but they didnt. These people had to close their bank accounts and get new ones. Makes me sick! These guys are vacationing and shopping with your money. They don't pay you your commissions, always an excuse or next week. But you'll never see it. So PLEASE don't be fooled by Al, Jim, Jims wife. You'll regret you ever spoke to these bums. And I call them bums because they don't have the bal*s to be honest men. And Jims wife is just as low as he is going along with this scam. Just remember, what comes around goes around.

    • We are in an industry that requires us to stand up and cheer each other on.  A large majority of people in network marketing are not successful because they get discouraged and quit to early.  This website brings people together who have dreams of success.  These people need to be uplifted and inspired everyday.  I think a forum where we go to focus on the positive side of our industry would serve us and repspace very well.

      Thanks Mike
