    • On virtually every home business related site you will see ads for ‘sponsoring programs’ promising to give you the secrets to building your business, insider tips to help you succeed, smiling faces of reps claiming to have made millions in their business and for just a handful of dollars they will teach you the secrets to do the same…

Here’s the secret. Almost every one of those programs wants to take your hard earned dollars and will teach you how to recruit others into their ‘sponsor program’, for a commission, not necessarily your own home business.

      What’s the difference?

When you pull back the curtain and look at these sponsor training programs, they teach you how to create ads for sites like Facebook ( since Google has banned most of these programs from advertising via their Adsense program ), and the ads they teach you to create are to resell their sponsoring program to others, who will then learn to resell the sponsoring program to others, and so on.

While some of these programs offer excellent tips on how to utilize social media and write compelling ads, ultimately they are self promoting and the only way to profit is to sell the training program to others.

What if you want to build your own business?

If you are already involved in a business, and are hitting the common barrier of trying to sponsor new people into your business after exhausting your warm market of friends and family ( industry estimates say that most people will never sponsor even two new people into their business ) you need to either advertise or buy leads.

The goal of advertising is to get quality leads. A quality lead being a prospect who has a legitimate interest in a new business. Advertising for leads can be costly. If you are running a PPC ( pay per click ) campaign, you may spend $2.00 or more PER CLICK, without any guarantee that each click will become a ‘lead’ or that the lead will become a qualified buyer or enroll in your business program.

If you buy leads directly, you eliminate the extra step of creating a PPC campaign, but you must be certain you are not buying worthless lead lists that have already been contacted dozens of times by other marketers.

The number one site for pre-qualified, opt-in leads is Safeleads.com. Safeleads gathers opt in leads directly from home business sites from prospects actively seeking a new home based business. You create your marketing message and can purchase from one to hundreds of individual leads, based on location, or even the specific company selected. Instead of paying $2.00 per CLICK, you can pay less that $2.00 for quality interested leads that have not been spammed or hammered with dozens of business opportunities.

    • I say it's the condition of your heart!

When I started working from home I thought man if I like this product

this much shouldn't everyone else? The answer is NOPE!

People are not looking at the product as much as they are looking at

the person trying to sell them the product, YOU!

What do people see when they look at or talk to you?

Ask 10 people (prospects) what their first impression was of you.

      Were you caring?

      Did you push them?

      Were you truthful?

      Did you hear their needs?

Were you helpful? New & old networkers want to see a person that has a heart. There are many people who struggle can you honestly help them? Can you train them to be succesful like you are? Are you successful? If you are can you help your downline? The people at the very bottom, the people just getting started?

In my world I saw kindness, I saw false hearts. Some wanted to help, but didn't know how. So knew how, but don't want to help.

With any business you have got to have UNITY, ONENESS. The people at the bottom are the ones that got YOU to the top!!

Training calls are a great tool with the right information, but how many have you been on that actually gave you their secrets? I can tell you I have been on many calls, but not 1 of them has told me their secrets!

I have a giving heart. I want to help everyone succeed.

Are you struggling in your biz?

Are you looking for a new biz?

I will help you with what I have learned. I have found out a few things that I am giving away for free unlike the other ones that try to sale you cd's, or send you a free e-book & then the link on there tells you to buy this fore the rest of the secrets. It's crazy to charge for something as simple as what their CD's teach!!

    • ‘Attraction Marketing’ has become a buzz-word over the last couple of years in the Network Marketing industry, becoming the new standard for online business building to people in all kinds of different MLM companies.  In this article, I want to answer a burning question in the hearts of Network Marketers all over the world:

“Does attraction marketing really even work at all in Network Marketing?”

First, let me start off with the simple answer – YES.  However, before I get into the reasons why – let’s look at what attraction marketing really is.

Mike Dillard has a famous quote that goes something like this:

“Network Marketing is an industry of promotion and marketing that is predominantly ran by distributors who have absolutely no idea how to market and promote.”

Here’s what attraction marketing is, in simple terms – it’s learning how to target and attract people into your business who have money to join, are ready to join now, and want to join YOU because they perceive some kind of value in becoming a part of your team that they wouldn’t get with someone else.

Put in terms like that – who wouldn’t want to market that way?

I first ran into the concept of attraction marketing when I was building an offline MLM business back in 2009, and I didn’t pursue the idea because my well-meaning upline leader told me that it didn’t work to build a sustainable business.

Looking back, I have to say that response is ridiculous.  I don’t mean to step on any toes here – but what makes more sense – attracting people with money, who want to join, who are ready to join now with you – or running around trying to convince everyone to get in your business, having absolutely no idea whether or not they even have a desire, or interest in joining this industry?

This is a revelation that I had – we used to run around passing out audio CD’s to build our business.  We’d get really excited, make a list of everyone we had ever met – and run around passing out promotional audios to them to sponsor people.

Now, that approach absolutely did work, but there was a lot of grinding manual labor involved.  I had a sudden revelation – why not pay a bunch of teenagers minimum wage to wander around and pass out CD’s?

Seriously – as a business owner, why would I bother to do something that I could pay someone $6.50 an hour to do? If the approach is effective and profitable, (which it is), why not leverage myself, pay someone else to do the manual labor, and only talk to people that are interested?

THAT’S the foundation of Attraction Marketing – so does it work?  YES.

The only question that you have to ask is – how do you implement that into your business, both on and off the internet.  Here’s my recommendation for you:

Start THINKING like a business owner.  Always ask yourself the question – is what I’m doing cost effective, attractive, and is it producing the results that I want?  Also, it would be a good idea to get involved with a team that is building the business at a grass roots level.  Be careful about big online gurus that have never actually built a downline (they’re everywhere), and make sure that the team that you’re getting involved in is actively involved in aggressively building their organization.

    • In today's corporate world, there is an obvious, growing shift from conventional advertising to network marketing as a more cost effective means of generating new customers.

If we look at the cell phone, cable t.v., and internet service industries, for example, we can see an ever growing number of these companies are investing at least some of thier advertising dollars in Network Marketing. In fact, some of the most reputable and successful of these companies are experiencing their largest and fastest growth ever, through this method of marketing!

After 15 years of watching this growing trend, and doing extensive research into numerous Network Marketing companies, I predict with a 99% certainty that Network Marketing is set to be the dominant method of marketing products and services worldwide, in the not too distant future!

Now, allow me to elaborate on the safety and effectiveness of network marketing as opposed to the high risk involved in conventional advertising, in the following example:

Let's say that Company A has an annual marketing budget of $14 million, and invests throughout the year in various advertising campaigns, utilizing media such as, TV, radio, magazines, billboards, etc.

Even if these advertisements reach 100 million people per year, how many are actually guaranteed customers? Is it possible for anyone to give a number with any certainty? What is the guaranteed rate of return? After all, what percentage of products or services do you purchase based  on TV and/or radio advertising? Therein lies the risk!

Now let's say that Company B has an annual marketing budget of $14 million and, rather than conventional advertising, they decide to recruit an army of self-employed marketing reps. Because this company only pays a set rate per guaranteed customer, Company B can calculate it's commissions and bonuses based on its advertising budget and cost per service and/or product. Under this system, Company B has the potential to generate an exponentially larger customer base,on the same budget as Company A (and considering that no money is paid to the marketer until the customer is already acquired), sees a guaranteed rate of return, and absolute zero risk!! Not to mention the benefits to you and I as self employed marketing reps.

Considering these examples, which would you say is the most cost effective marketing method?

Now, with all of this in mind, I would like to pose the following question:

If large multi-million dollar corporations are making this shift because they see the potential in the fast, and ever growing Network Marketing industry, then doesn't it stand to reason that Network Marketing is not only beneficial to Corporate America, but may also be a viable, and  very lucrative "earn income at home" solution for the average working American?

As I previously mentioned in this article, I have been watching this trend and researching numerous Network Marketing companies for the past 15 years and have seen this industry growing continuously, regardless of market trends. For example, in the current faltering market, most, if not all the legitimate companies I have been following in this industry, are unquestionably feeling little or none of the negative effects of the current declining economy, and actually continue to grow at exponential rates!

Though the concept of Network Marketing has existed for nearly 80 years, it has only been in the last 20 years or so that  Corporate America is catching on to, and taking advantage of this growing trend, to both increase, and in effect stabilize, their market base, in spite of the fluctuating economy, and there is still an unbelievable amount of room for growth in this industry.

This has led me to my own personal conclusion that any legitimate marketing company that practices direct marketing methods, is indeed a ground floor opportunity, and now is as good a time as any to get involved in this industry.

After extensive research, I would like to suggest a company that has taken advantage of one of the hottest, and fastest growing businesses in the country, namely the cell phone industry. Consider that less than ten years ago, the cell phone was simply a novelty item, and is now becoming a necessity that few of us can live without, and it won't be going away any time soon! This company has implemented what I believe to be the best business model and pay plan in the industry to date! I have recently become a member of this company and believe it to be one of the best business decisions one can make in today's volatile job market. The company is called LightyearWireless. If you would like information on how you can earn free cellphone service for life and get paid to show others how to do the same, visit the following websites:

      http://cellconnect.mylightyear.net/

      http://cellconnect.lightyearwireless.com/

or Call: 800-670-7261 for a brief audio overview.

In closing, my suggestion to anyone who is looking for a better opportunity, due to unemployment, job insecurity, or just a need for additional income to make ends meet, is this:

Do the research, find out for yourself what this ever growing industry has to offer, and if you think you are one of those with the drive and ambition to rise above, GO FOR IT!!!       It Could be the opportunity of a Lifetime!

    • SELF-DOUBT

The #1 Cause of inaction is
      self-doubt.

For if one does not DOUBT
      themselves then they will take
      furious action towards creating
      their goals in life.

It's only when they feel inadequate,
or fear failure, that their self-doubt
      cripples them from taking action.

      As strange as this is...

People are so afraid of their self-doubt
proving to be TRUE... that they never
even ATTEMPT to complete the task
they want to accomplish because of it.

      Ironically, they have ALREADY failed

      before they even started.

And when one traces the root cause
of "Failure Before Starting" back to
      it's source...

... We always find the same nemesis.

      SELF-DOUBT

However, I am going to give you the
cure to self-doubt once and for all today.

Are you ready for this cure?

There is only one way, and one way
only to rid yourself of self-doubt.

You have no other option but to
      do this.  You ready?

      You must believe in yourself.

You do not have a choice.

YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE IN YOURSELF.

      Period & end of story.

If you do not believe in yourself, then
you will have failed before you even
      started.

It is ONLY through the true belief you
have in yourself that you will EVER
move into a state of action required
to create success in your business.

      You don't get "proof" first.

You have to BELIEVE first, then you'll
      get the proof.

      The problem with unsuccessful people
is that they have this backwards.

They choose to indulge in self doubt,
and then demand the only time they
will believe in themselves is after they
have some "proof" that they are worthy.

      Unfortunately, this proof never comes.

And the "average man or woman" who
thinks this way, fails to realize it was
THEM who rigged the game from the start.

      They never even gave themselves
a chance, because without first believing
their actions are crippled from the start.

A sad sad tale indeed... for this affliction
is rampant all over our industry.  Causing
people to remain stuck in their negativity
rather than entering into their GREATNESS.

You have a CHOICE to make today...

You can either choose to be like the average
man or woman... who needs "proof" before
      they can believe in themselves.

Or YOU can be the warrior.

You can CHOOSE to believe in yourself,
your own capabilities, and your own limitless
potential right NOW, exactly as you are.

In actuality, there really is no choice.

For if you don't do this, you are destined to
live a life of mediocrity - at best.

You will forever be plagued by the self doubt
which cripples so many from making anything
truly great out of their lives.

And you most certainly won't amount to much
in this industry, for only people who BELIEVE
in themselves from the start ever actually make
      it big.

This is your choice to make today.

If you choose to continue nurturing your
"self-doubt", and decide you really don't
want to change your life... then you no
longer need to read this email.

However, if you decide RIGHT NOW, once
and for all, that you will be the one who
      BELIEVES in themselves...

... Who recognizes your heritage as a
Magical being of this universe, with
      Infinite possibilities at your fingertips...

... Then you have an opportunity to create

an amazing world of possibilities for yourself.

      Dedicated to your success,

Why do most home bases businesses never work? After all, millions of people, all over the world, have joined an opportunity or started a business of working from home. Some of the biggest names include Amway, Quixtar, Herbalife, Pampered Chef, Avon, Tastefully Simple. Is it the business plan that fails? Are they just scams? Are you a failure?

In reality, the companies listed above have produced dozens of success stories. They have good business plans and definitely are not scams. Chances are that you are not a failure.

So then, what is the problem?

My name is Cyle Greenwell. As a successful home based entrepreneur and internet marketer, I have worked with countless home based business owners who are failing. I have identified three major reasons why.

      1. The "Business" Never Becomes A Real Business
      2. Most People Still Haven't Mastered the Art of Online Marketing
      3. The Lack of Community, Support and Discipline

Here is further explanation of each of the three reasons and how to fix them.

The "Business" Never Becomes a Real Business

Most home based business owners call themselves just that, "Business Owners." Maybe it's "entrepreneur" that you call yourself. Either way, it implies something. You have a BUSINESS! The IRS has specific criteria for determining whether your activities are considered a "hobby" or a legitimate "business." If you are currently taking tax deductions for business expenses, I recommend that you visit irs.gov to determine if the deductions are legitimate.

If you truly are running a business, you should choose a name for it and incorporate or file for an LLC in your state and with the federal government. This is scary for a lot of people because they think it's too difficult and opens them up to IRS audits. This is not accurate! There are thousands of small businesses in your area, and millions of small business around the world. It's not that big of a deal! You should do it, too.

      Having a real business will:

      • Allow you to take more tax deductions
      • Protect your personal assets from litigation
      • Make you look more credible
      • Allow you to open credit accounts in the business name
      • Make you more dedicated to your own success

I'm not a tax attorney or an accountant, so I am not going to tell you which entity you should choose (LLC, S-Corp, C-Corp), but many home business owners start with an LLC. I do recommend having it professionally filed; which will run you between $100 & $200.

The actual state filing fee varies by state. Go to Google, Yahoo, Bing, or your search engine of choice, and type in "Secretary of State (name of the state you live in.)" Here is where you will find the cost to file.

Here is a short list of LLC filing fees:

      • California = $115
      • Florida = $125
      • Georgia = $100
      • Minnesota = $135
      • Texas = $300

Remember, to have a professional do this for you (recommended), add about $100 to the state filing fee.

      Stay tuned for further details.

    • I said 95% because that is how many folks do not make any money online and I have realized that Internet Marketing is a tool for success that is a straightforward PROCESS that is predictable, measurable and simple.

If you are like I was which was like a ” grasshopper on steroids ” jumping from one program to the next then this will I hope point you in the right direction so you can stop jumping around. It’s pretty darn tiring isn’t it ?

      1. People come into this arena looking to solve a specific set of problems or to learn how to achieve a certain desire. We provide them with information and solutions that solve their problems.
      2. Like electricity – it’s all about the path of least resistance. If you deliver valuable information and give it away without expecting any return, you make it easier for people to accept your offers and pay attention to you. You can then educate them, and lead them to solutions that deliver what they want.
      3. Building your own value by consistently learning and collecting information that other people are searching for helps you become more ‘attractive’ to others and turns you into a valuable source of knowledge.
      4. Taking your simple message and leveraging simple technology to put it in front of the masses by learning how to market like a professional will help you build a steady and predictable pipeline that leads to profits.
      5. Creating your own SYSTEM that combines steps 1-4 above and allows others to model what you’ve done is the key to unlocking massive profits that are available when you combine the power of the internet with a global marketplace that is eager to receive these solutions.

The key to success in this arena is to realize that it’s not about the specific companies or products and services. And it’s not only about systems, web sites and tactics…
Success in this industry comes down to three broad areas:
      1. Personal Mindset
      2. Effective Marketing Skills.
      3. Leverage & Duplication
If you combine effective marketing strategies, with the massive leverage of the internet and the right attitude and entrepreneurial mindset, you can not help but to attract solid, predictable financial results.
It’s simple. Success comes faster to you when you realize what this industry’s REAL ‘products’ are… Productive Marketing Leaders.
Success in this industry is nothing more than learning how to build Productive Marketing Leaders’ in your organization. That is where the big profits are. It’s not about selling a vitamin or travel program or even software, training or information. It’s about building or leveraging a Marketing System that produces up-front cash flow and also other leaders. That is where the passive income profits lie. That is where more money with less effort and predictable results come from. Systems, Leverage & Duplication.

It all starts with learning how to get a simple message in front of the masses.
Methods change but principals remain the same. The crazy methods we used before the internet worked very well but in comparing the the “old school “tactics to the “new school ” tactics the methods are far different and I’m realizing much easier.

    • Many of us in network marketing might think this business is an easy way to make money.  I think it is once you have worked through the numbers and helped others do the same.  The hardest part is working through the numbers.  It takes time and persistence.  There is no secret to being a success here.  I recently talked with one of the leaders in my company and he said he has shown the business to over 600 people.  A leader in Amway put it this way,"  I have shown the business to over 1200 people and about 300 signed up.  I get 97% of my income from just 35 who signed up.  11 of those 35 account for 93% of my business and have made me a millionaire."

If you have been in your business for awhile without success don't give up.  Instead think as though you are working through your numbers.  Everyones numbers are going to be different.

    • Today, more and more people are looking for ways to supplement their income; they just don’t know where or how to start. It’s difficult to find a feasible and equally rewarding part-time work these days. Plus, the idea of having a sideline interfering with their job is another scary thought.

In the 21st century, opportunities to earn extra income have taken on a different form, particularly a home based business. Apparently, times are changing, and as people begin to shift their attentions to better ways of getting information, communicating and improvising, so do ways of doing business.

Network marketing is a perfect example of how franchising took on a different form to fit a small- scale setting for people who cannot afford to pay the millions to start their own McDonald’s. The concept is the same: royalties are earned by developing other franchises that help expand the business’ market reach. The mother company earns percentages out of the sales of all franchises in its network. As a result, by having more and more franchises and customers alike, the mother company is able to generate a recurring income that could eventually be enough to sustain the owner’s retirement. Network marketing holds the same kind of potential.

Just as the advent of the Internet has helped create developments in doing business, the network marketing industry has not been exempted from this progress. Traditional multi-level marketing could be done from the home, although there would be times that person-to-person orientations, demonstrations and training would be required, which some really busy people sometimes found a little too taxing especially if they barely had enough time to go around and meet people due to the demands of the nature of their work. The new age of MLM however has opened up gates for everyone to do business without having to leave their doorsteps by taking advantage of the technology that the Internet provides.

This new form of multilevel marketing, which is known as Internet marketing, is a very lucrative way to start earning additional income without having to compromise your current job. By allotting only a few hours of your time per day, you gain the potential to earn a passive income that will make money work for you. The wonderful thing about online business MLM is that it gives additional perks that traditional MLM did not have but can equally benefit from, such as an innovative way to generate leads without having to buy from sellers or recycling old contact lists. But the best part of it is that you get the same unlimited earning potential as traditional MLM and franchising while relaxing in the comforts of your home.

    • College students are often told that the world is their oyster and that a degree is their golden ticket to wherever they want to go. The truth is that graduates are facing more challenges now than they ever have before. More and more youth are going away to college, which makes an undergraduate degree less valuable and also creates heavy competition for jobs, and with so many jobs disappearing due to the economy it is even more challenging.

Some students would like to take the opportunity to find themselves, but they are buried under so much debt that many of them take a meaningless job or continue their education; getting into even more debt. However, some graduates have found a way to not only carry themselves through to the other side of the crumbling economy but to do something that's both enjoyable and allows for travel.

Starting an internet business has become a smart choice for graduates. It enables them to pay back their debt, gain valuable skills, travel the world and become successful entrepreneurs.

One of the most frustrating tasks facing twenty-somethings today is finding a career in their field of study. Studying one subject for four or more years then not being able to secure a position in that industry can be very discouraging. By starting an internet business they can create a position for themselves and continue to promote themselves as success continues to grow.

Another reason for grads to start working for themselves is because retirement and pension plans are much harder to come by these days and even if they weren't, most grads aren't likely to stay in any of their first few jobs out of college for more than three to five years. It also gives them the freedom to move out of the city to somewhere they can afford to buy a house and start a family, or travel from place to place wherever an internet connection exists.

One advantage that recent graduates have is excellent computer skills. They are the generation that grew up with the internet and so it shouldn't take long for them to explore the internet business world and find the perfect niche for their venture.

Starting an internet business is a great way for grads to expose their inner entrepreneur, become more independent and find their place in this wonderful world.

    • Learning about finances: how to save, invest, handle debt and be self sufficient are skills that will never go to waste and will always contribute to a stress free lifestyle. These are things that sadly, are not taught enough in school as you grow up and become more independent, but there are many ways to educate yourself. Knowing how to make sound financial judgments and choices will make you more successful in several aspects of life, especially business.

A financial education will teach you how to save a sufficient amount of money for retirement, vacations, emergencies, college funds and more. The society we live in makes it difficult to save money because we are constantly bombarded with advertisements for products and services that we "need", but being able to see the value in passing up some of these things to save is crucial. As an entrepreneur, having some extra cash in the bank will help you through difficult times and allow you to hang on to your business.

You will also learn how to focus on what your business really needs to succeed. Owning a business can be very exciting and the temptation to get carried away with items that won't necessarily generate a profit can be great. Understanding how to factor expenses with income and set profit margins is a significant step in growing your venture.

Another serious subject covered in financial education courses is debt. We now live in an era of credit that never used to exist. People are incurring large amounts of debt as early as their teens, before they can really even understand the impact it will have on their future. Understanding the different types of interest rates as well as terms and conditions of credit companies is important to maintain good credit. The effect that bad credit can have on both your professional and personal life can be quite severe so thinking twice before getting yourself into debt is a wise decision.

Being your own financial adviser isn't as hard as you might think. By taking a simple course or getting someone who is well educated in finances to teach you the necessary lessons, you will be well on your way to financial independence; running a more successful business and experiencing a more rewarding and relaxing lifestyle.

    • Financial worries like how you’re going to pay your rent, fix your car, feed your family and afford the next hospital trip are all stressors that seriously affect our ability to live happy, healthy lives. With today’s fragile economy these are not just the worries of the unemployed, but also for those of you who fear losing your current job.
You may be worrying that you haven’t saved enough money to support you and your family through a long stretch of unemployment, but there is something you can do to ensure financial security through the hardest of times.
Starting a home based business has several benefits:
      • It requires little to no overhead to start up.
This means you aren’t taking a big financial risk with money you are already concerned about saving. All you need to invest is some time and effort in order to be successful.
      • You can work from home part-time.
Starting a home based business is a great idea if you are looking for some financial backup on top of your existing job. Not only will this provide you with additional income, but it will enable you to save more money on a monthly basis and give you somewhere to turn if things with your current job don’t work out as planned. It is likely that you’ll find yourself making more money than you did at your corporate job and feeling a little less stressed also.
      • You don’t actually have to run your own business to work from home.
Perhaps starting up your own business requires a little more time then you have right now, but there are many ways to work from home without having to come up with an original idea and product or service yourself. You can join a network marketing company that already has a proven system in place that allows you to make passive income. You can buy items from wholesalers and sell them with online retailers like eBay. Another option is to create and maintain a great website and get paid through advertising programs like Google AdSense.
There are so many ways to generate income from home that you don’t need to let one employer decide how much money you can and cannot make. Put your worries behind you and start working towards financial security right from your living room.

    • Which Online Business is Right for You?
Unlike the corporate job market, the internet job market is thriving with opportunities in every sector. There are so many in fact, that it can be a bit of a daunting task figuring out just where you fit in. Before reading through the following descriptions, answer the questions below to help you find out which industry you’re suited to best.
      1. How much time will you devote to your venture each week?
      2. How much effort are you willing to put forth?
      3. What specific experience, skills or talents do you have?
      4. How much money are you prepared to invest?
      5. How much money would you like to make on an annual basis?
      Freelance Artist
Whether you’re a writer, photographer or graphic designer you can work online part-time or fulltime. There is a lot of competition here so you’ll need to put quite a bit of effort into marketing in order to get business. This is also an area where you’ll need to have or obtain specific skills to succeed. You could write ads for marketing companies with very little experience and you don’t need to invest much money to get started online. Your earnings are determined by the time and effort put in and will grow with experience.
      Network Marketer
This is also something that can be done part-time or fulltime. If you join a successful company then you should be able to make passive income once established. A proven duplicable marketing system should make it possible for you to put in less effort and make more money over time. Marketing skills are helpful, but not necessary where there are good training programs. You need to invest little to no money to get started and can make a multiple six figure income each year.
      Online Retailer
With this option you can open your own online store or simply sell merchandise with existing merchants like eBay. This again is something you can do as often or as little as you like. Running your own online store will take regular effort and time to maintain and you’ll need to purchase merchandise in order to sell it, but you can make a significant income if you focus on a niche market.
These are only three of several opportunities available on the internet. In the international marketplace there is room for everyone to find success.

    • December 15, 2009 8:53 PM PST
    • Many people are hesitant to get involved with network marketing companies because there are so many out there and it’s difficult to sift through all the information on the internet to know which ones are scams and which ones are legitimate. They are often referred to as MLM (multi-level marketing) companies, which you hear good and bad things about, but there are definitely companies that are worth joining that will provide you with real opportunities to make a significant income.
With some hard work you will be able to make big money by using the following three criteria when choosing a network marketing company to join.
      • Focus on quality, not quantity
With MLM companies the main way you make money is by creating a down line of distributors and earning a commission from the sales they make. A very common mistake made by companies is encouraging their agents to recruit as many distributors as possible. However, this is not the best way to generate a growing income. Instead of focusing on numbers, focus on skills, dedication and drive. Think of your down line as your team and look for the type of people you would want on your team.
To ensure that you’ll be able to develop a strong team, make sure you look for a company with a very thorough training program that is available to all new distributors.
      • Analyze the product
Make sure the product the company requires you to sell is of high quality. It is important that the product is in demand, reasonably priced and that you believe in it. The more you believe in what you’re selling, the easier it will be to sell as long as there’s a market for it.
Another reason to make sure you’re selling a valuable product is because it will make it easier to hang on to your distributors as their sales increase as well.
      • Find a fool proof marketing system
Look for a marketing system that has been tried and tested and proven to succeed. You want something that is fully duplicable with each new member and doesn’t include cold calling, warm markets or one-on-one presentations.
These three criteria will make it easier for you to find a legitimate network marketing company and get your career as a successful entrepreneur underway.

    • Why a Home-Based Business?
The S&P 500 has declined 38% in the previous 12 months producing mass layoffs and causing six million new people to be added to the unemployment rolls in the United States.  Highly educated people desperate to bring some money into the family coffers are filling even minimum wage jobs.  The current economy has produced thousands of individuals realizing the need to create their own income opportunity.  But with so many home-based business opportunities, how can you tell if an opportunity is a good one?

      What is a Good Opportunity?
New home-based business opportunities are becoming available each month.  Unfortunately, these companies are going out of business at an alarming rate.  The reason why most of these companies fail boils down to two reasons, undercapitalization and mismanagement.  Even though home-based businesses do not require expensive franchising fees, to be successful, you will still need to invest your valuable time and emotional and physical energy.  Many people work very hard to create a sales organization that can produce a part-time or full-time income, only to have it yanked out from underneath them when the company goes out of business.

      What Metrics Should I Use?
Stock market analysts use sophisticated metrics to make educated projections about which stocks will yield the desired returns on investment. Anyone considering a home-based business should also carefully evaluate the business before investing his or her valuable resources.  They should carefully research several factors listed below that I call the four Ps; People, Product, Profit and Process.  Do quantifiable research and don’t believe everything you hear, especially from a salesperson.

      Who Are the People?
The people managing the business are the most important consideration.  Find out who the top executives are and do a thorough background check on each one, especially the founder.  The Internet is a good source of information, although be careful to confirm that the source is unbiased, authentic and respected.  There are only two attributes that are important to evaluate – Are they trustworthy?  Are they competent?  Trustworthiness is absolutely mandatory.  Nothing else matters if the management cannot be trusted in their business and personal relationships.  If they are trustworthy, confirm that they have sufficient experience and a successful track record for the responsibility they have in the company.  Many good honest people have failed because they don’t know how to do their job.  Most inexperienced managers also don’t know what they don’t know.

      What is the Product?
After confirming that the people are trustworthy and competent the next question is about the product.  Most importantly, does the product have real retailable value?  Does the product stand on its own outside of any income opportunity?  Would consumers purchase the product without expecting any financial kickback?  Is the company justifying the price with earnings from recruiting others who then need to repeat the process?  Is the product in high broad demand and is it consumed regularly?  A highly specialized product may limit your potential market of customers and recruits.  If the product is a durable good sold once then your income will be based on new sales every month, which will be more volatile that a consistent revenue stream from the same customers consuming the product every month.  Also be aware of commodity products that don’t have sufficient margins for significant earnings.  Companies with these products typically pay most their commissions on subscription-based tools, like websites, rather than the actual product (e.g. phone service, energy, travel, shopping clubs).

How Do I Make a Profit?
One of the first financial questions in any business is how quickly do I break-even?  In a home-based business that means how quickly will I recover my initial investment?  How quickly will I earn enough to pay for my product consumption?  And how quickly will I earn enough to pay for my monthly business expenses?  The Direct Selling Association (DSA) reports that 90% of all people who get involved in a home-based business do so to earn an extra $500 a month.  How easily can you get to $500 per month?  How many people do you need on your sales team to earn $500 monthly?  Some plans purport high payout percentages, but have hidden breakage that never gets paid out.  Is the compensation plan easy to understand?  Can you easily explain it to others?  Can you easily calculate your earnings manually?  Some plans are designed to only reward the big dogs at the top.  The good plans recognize that the stability of a company is based on the number of $500 checks it writes.  In the long run this stability provides the dream income for the top earners.

Is There a Simple Duplicatable Process?
According to Entrepreneur Magazine, 80% of independent businesses fail in five years; conversely, franchised businesses with a proven system have a success rate of 91% for the same time period.  Does the company provide a proven system to build and retain a successful sales force?  Many companies provide recruiting tools like lead generation pages and contact managers.  The real question is not only how quickly you can recruit others, but also how well you keep them and help them become successful.  The most successful companies also provide support and self-help systems, complete training and certification systems, and leadership and mentoring systems.

    • Zig Ziglar is one of my favorite persons to listen to for energy, solid advice, and just plain knowledge. I like him because of his humor, his southern ways and tactics, and how he just strictly tells it like it is. This article is an adaptation of one of Zig’s recordings.

Zig starts out explaining that we are where we are today because of the choices we have made. I know I personally dislike it when I speak with a person and they tell me about a goal that they have and when we get to discussing their progress, they have all the excuses in the world. I can’t work with people like that because my father used to tell me, “You can make excuses or you can make money, but you can’t do both.” And Zig says something pretty similar when he said that People who don’t take step one, generally don’t take step two, so terminate until the first step is completed.

Zig describes four steps if you will that you need to understand fully if you want to win in life.

The first is accepting responsibility for your actions and know that you do have a choice in your life.

The second is its not what’s going on out there, but what you do. Lots of people like to blame their failure on the economy. But you are the direct reflection of what happens to you, good or bad. In every economical struggle this nation has ever seen, there have always been people who were flourishing. Profiting in the very same economical struggle you are complaining about.

The third thing Zig says we must understand is that its not what our mother or father did, or how they lived, but what kind of legacy will you leave to your children? People have lived in riches and glory, and people have been used, mistreated and abused. And if that has happened to you, which is unfortunate, but maybe a little counseling to help you move on from that pain and hurt would be needed. Not to sound insensitive, but holding on to old hurts and pains only gives those people who have hurt you power over your life. They have either passed away or have moved on with their lives and you can’t bring any real joy to your life until you let go and forgive. You do not want to bring that misery to your children and the new life you are living. Seek the help if needed, but create a joyous and happy life for your children.

The last trait Zigs describes is its not what happens to you, its how you handle it. I remember in college, both undergrad as well as grad, the registrar was no one to play around with. They were no joke. And although lots of times, the registrar who handled your schedule, money on your account and things of that sort truly in deed would mess you up. You’d have to stand in long lines for lengthy periods of time, get sent in other lengthy lines, and nine times of out ten, it would be the registrar’s error. But you ALWAYS had to keep your cool, because if you would become irate, the registrar was who you would need to come back to at some point, and they will remember your face. Its there seal of approval you need in order to go to classes. They could give you a hard time. So college was pretty much my first learning experience about how to handle “trying” situations. You can’t always say what you want to say, and you have to kill them with kindness.

Zig tells a story about how after a long weekend speaking at a conference someplace, his flight is cancelled. And as the flight personnel explains to Zig that his flight has been cancelled Zig says “Fantastic.” The lady couldn’t understand why he would say such a thing, so she asked him, “Why would you say ‘Fantastic’ I just told you your flight has been cancelled?” Zig told her “There are only three reasons why a flight is canceled…something wrong with the plane, something wrong with the pilot, or something wrong in the sky. If its anyone of those three reasons, I don’t want to be on that flight.” The lady understood, then continued to tell Zig that the next flight wasn’t until 6pm, which was a considerable time difference away. Zig says “Fantastic!” yet again. The lady paused and said “Now Mr. Ziglar, I can maybe understand why you would say fantastic about the plane, but I just told you you’ll be stuck in a airport for quite sometime, why would you say ‘Fantastic’ to that?” Zig explains to her, “Well I never been to XXX Airport before, its dry, roof over my head, lights and electricity works, I do have some reading and work that I can do. And I can do that right here in this fine space, rent free, and you have a very nice coffee shop right over there, so if I get hungry or want something to drink its available to me.” The lady smiled as did Zig, and he went on about his day.

Zig could have been sarcastic or yelled and explained how he had his tickets for months in advance, and the next flight still wouldn’t of been until 6pm. He could of asked to speak with management, requested compensation, but the next flight still wouldn’t of been until 6pm. When things are out of your control, you have to learn how to not let it take hold of your life. Make the adjustments. It wasn’t that lady’s fault nor managements fault that the flight was cancelled, so “letting them have it” is not going to fix the problem. And you certainly can’t let them ruin or take hold of your whole day. Because now you’ve given them power over your whole day. Sure Zig was displeased inside, sure he didn’t really feel the way that he said, but the flight is still going to leave at 6pm

    • Did you now that there are six needs that we as a people need, not want but actually need in our lives in order to be whole? Well I wasn’t aware of them individually per say until I listened to Anthony Robbins explain and describe each one in full detail. One thing though before naming each need, they all revolve around on principle. And that’s pain and pleasure. We as a people want a little of pain, and a lot more of pleasure.

Lets talk about the first four needs, to begin. These are what Tony Robbins calls the survival needs. Meaning most people already “get” these needs, because without them, you could not make it. The other two needs are categorized as fulfillment needs. Not too many people get this far in their lives. So after reading this, and become aware of these needs, you can aspire and bring your life to fulfillment.

The first need is certainty. We love to know if something is a sure thing. We like to be comfortable, and we avoid pain like the plague. And naturally so. We freak out when we don’t have our certainty, such as things not being in our control. Company is being acquired, will you be able to keep your job; are your kids doing drugs; or you need to go to the doctor for a mammogram because you are at that certain age where it can get scary, and you just don’t know how the doctor visit will turn out. We like our certainty, and we go out of our way to make sure we can get it. And what happens a lot of times is that we strive so hard for our certainty, that we become bored. You have a career, nice home, vacation home, kids in a great schools, everything is going according to plan and you just don’t want to take the risk. But that’s what life is about, taking risks. If you knew everything thing that was going to happen to you, life would be boring, and that’s what happens, which brings us to the second need of uncertainty.
Just how we need to be certain in life, we also need to be uncertain. We need that mystery, surprise, the excitement, the unknown. It gets us going and gives us something to look forward to. We can not be happy unless we grow, and get into the unknown sometimes. Tony Robbin’s said “The quality of your life is in direct proportion to the amount of uncertainty you can comfortably live with.” If you have to be certain all the time, then you are in prison, and you’ll be completely unfulfilled. Its in the realm of uncertainty that your passion is found. Tony says that middleground is the closest thing to a grave. Keep your hunger alive by being in the uncertainty and in the uncertainty you’ll find your hunger.

The third need is for significance. The need to feel special. Your life having purpose, you need to be needed. Some folks level of significance is higher or lower than others, but it is still there otherwise we wouldn’t be able to survive. In order to be significant, you must also be unique. There are lots of superstars who use their who career and strive after being unique and different, that they become too unique and sort of isolate themselves therefore being unhappy and sad. Which brings us to the next need that generally comes after significance, and that’s love.

The fourth need is connection and love. We all need and want to be loved. What we really need to do is learn how to treat and love ourselves as good as we want to treat others. We all want to love other people, but we don’t show or treat ourselves that same love. Unless you create a good relationship with yourself first, how can you love someone else? You can’t. People have so much hurt and pain within themselves buried so deep, that they wonder why they keep having failed relationships. If you find yourself resenting someone elses success, you have just sealed yourself from being able to succeed. Who you spend time with is who you become. Most people’s lives are a direct reflection of their peer group. Your peer group is anyone that you care about who or what they think of you. If you set a high expectation than your peer group, they will have to either come up to your level, or you need to form a new peer group. Whatever you do, you don’t want to drop to their level. And if your peer group is your family, then just love your family, but choose your peers.

Certainty, Uncertainty, Significance, and Love are the four survival needs. We all are doing and receiving those on a regular basis whether we know it or not, but needs five and six are needs that most of us never get to in our lives. They are titled the fulfillment needs. What we need in order to be at total peace and to have a inner joy within ourselves that no one, or no thing can take away or destroy.

The fifth need is growing. We all must be forever be growing. Any living organism must continue to grow. Look at a plant for example, if a plant isn’t always spreading its branches, spreading into new soil, constantly being watered and showered, it dies. Same with us, we too must grow, or we die. I read a statistic that stated once a person graduates from high school, the likely hood of that individual to read a book for pure enjoyment or growth was less than 2%.

Lastly, we must contribute beyond ourselves. In science, we know that anything that doesn’t contribute is eliminated. We must give back and help others. Whether you have a little or a lot, give. Whether that be of your time, by volunteering or you giving financially, no one achieves true success without someone’s help and generosity, so why not help someone else as you were helped.

As I explained earlier, the first four needs are just pure survival, the last two include a recipe of living your life to fulfillment. Most people just survive out here in this world, never achieving fulfillment. Do you want to just survive or live your life to fulfillment?

    • I was listening to a skill-set video by a gentleman named Jerry Clark this morning who had a wonderful insight on life actually and how to “arrive” at whatever it is you want to accomplish in life.

Jerry Clark first spoke about how you, because no one can do it for you, but you have to first attract your million dollar moment. Jerry spoke about how he was born in a garage, and grew up very poor, and he remembers asking his mother for new shoes, pants and things of that nature, and his mother’s reply was always “We don’t have enough money…” But it wasn’t until Jerry wanted to take Karate lessons that hearing his mother’s excuse was just the last straw for Jerry and so he decided to take matters into his own hands, and got himself a paper route. Just so that he could pay for the Karate classes he so desperately wanted to do at $40/month.

That’s what we must do with ourselves. At some point we have to say, you know what, the same ole excuse of not having enough money or whatever it is that you are hindering yourself from, you have to kind of get upset with yourself, and say hey, I’m a take action on this thing and just get it done.

So at a young age of 11 years old, that was Jerry’s first “monumental moment.” And from there it can only grow. From there Jerry saw the Mercedes Benz car, homes with movie theatres inside them, and it drove his hunger. Jerry realized at 19 that trading time for dollars, like what most of us do in a job setting is not what’s happening. Entrepreneurs get paid for trading results for dollars. So there is a shift that needs to take place there in order to understand that key concept. Because in a job setting, you can have the crappiest day and not be as effective as you could, and still get paid, but in the entrepreneur world, that’s not the case.

So you must surround yourself with successful people, other entrepreneurs, people who have already produced results.

Jerry describes what is  called a Success Triangle. Now picture a triangle, having the three points, and now lets look at the base on the left, Jerry calls that Internal Communication.

Internal Communication is how you communicate with yourself. Your expectation. Your beliefs, philosophies.  We must master this.

The next base to the right is the External Communication. This is how you communicate with others. The direct marketing, copy-writing skills. However and whenever possible, you want to study influence. This will help you understand about what makes people tick.

Jerry describes how there are four things that you are going to go through when mastering anything.

One, is time, just like it took and takes time to learn that “thing” on the job, this is going to take time as well. Something like a year or so.

The second is energy, and energy is nothing more than action. You must, must, must take action. Confuscion the greek philospoher once said “To know and not do is yet not to know.” Meaning you might think you know something, but you really don’t know cuz you’re not doing it. So we must take action.

The third is Frustration. No matter how calm or relaxed of a person you are, you will get frustrated, but its important to stay in your lane. That’s my own personal philosophy of frustration. I have lived and have visited several cities, and because I like to drive I find myself in tons and tons of traffic. Now I like to think of myself as a pretty calm and relaxed person, but sitting traffic is the most infuriating thing to me. But my motto is to just stay in your lane, Steer the course, because slow motion is better than no motion, and although its frustrating, you still want to get there. I have seen where cars will pull over and take a break on the shoulder, pull off all together and get a bite to eat, and that’s cool for them. But for me, unless I was already planning to pull over for a bite, or to check my vehicles coolant levels and so forth, I’m not gonna let anything veer me from my course. And my thinking is because you never know how far you have to go before you break through. You could only have ten more yards to go ’til traffic is going to break and you will be right where you want be, smooth sailing. You can’t find that out on the shoulder. There’s an old proverb that says “The darkest hour of the night comes just before dawn.” So we must not give up!

The fourth concept to mastering anything is change. You must always be changing and growing. Its sounds so simple, but its oh so true, but if nothing changes, nothing changes.

So lets get back to the triangle, and the last piece of the triangle at the top is Technical Knowledge. This is the know how, the coaching. The piece that will actually make you money. Sometimes people skip the other two parts and get straight to this piece, the money aspect. Which can work, but without the internal knowledge, what will keep you motivated, how will you react when you become frustrated. You need those internal skills. How will you be able to create a good copywritten sales letter, or how will your conduct be when you are speaking with folks in seminars, meetings, webinars, you need those external communication skills. It all fits together.

The last thing Jerry spoke about and ended the call with was what he called The Slight Edge Concept. Which simply stated that “Everyday in every way you are either performing simple disciplines or simple errors of judgement.”

See discipline is the key. Excellence is not achieved overnight. It is a lifelong journey that we should be working on daily. And we are always working on something whether we know it or not. Just like the saying if you aren’t planning your work, you’re planning to fail. By you not taking interest in your work, you are ensuring your own failure. So The Slight Edge Concept is pretty much saying that everyday we are either making good choices or bad. The disciplines we create in our lives are the determining factor. Just repeat simple disciplines in our lives daily and over time you will see tremendous results.

    • Sam Walton said by enriching others, I enrich myself…which is in essence the same as “help enough people get what they want, and you will inevitably get what you want.” This is a key principle that as a internet marketer we hear over and over, but I don’t think many people really understand it.

I was listening to my boy again, Zig Ziglar and he spoke on this very same topic. Zig talked and explained what EVERY one wants in life. Everyone! Everyone wants to be happy, healthy, wants friends, peace of mind, security, to be reasonably prosperous, wants good family relationships, and hope that the future will be better. Whether we want to admit that or not, that’s what we all want. Zig also made a profound statement when he said “Perception is the cruelest form of reality.” Zig summed it up by saying that we need to understand the perception of other people. In other words, put yourself in other peoples shoes, and treat people how you’d want to be treated. People want to feel important. That should be common sense, but common sense isn’t common.

Zig tells a story about how he was out to dinner with some colleagues and everytime the waitress would bring something out to him, salad, drink, anything he would thank her, and give her a warm smile. No one else at the table even acknowledged  her presence, she was merely the help to them. The time for dessert came along, and everyone else at the table got a very small portion of cake and ice cream, whereas Zig’s portion was considerable larger. So the others at the table said “Wow Zig, you must know that lady.” Zig replied, “No, but I know alot about her.” The others asked, “How so…?” Zig spoke and said “Well I recognize that she is a human being, wants to be happy, healthy, wants friends, peace of mind, security, to be reasonably prosperous, wants good family relationships, hope that the future will be better, she works really hard and appreciates a simple please and thank you!”

Zig wasn’t treating the lady with any special treatment. Nor was he treating her nicely just to receive a larger portion of ice cream. Its just common sense to treat people nice, and with respect.

Studies have shown that your immune system is automatically strengthened by having love, hope and faith instilled within you.

Robert Updegraff said “In terms of downright happiness, the returns per minute from giving are far greater then the returns for getting.”

You never know what difference you may make on someones life. That waitress Zig made acquaintance with could have been contemplating suicide, but with a little kindness shown, decided otherwise. When we are givers, things do happen for us.

Andrew Carnegie has been known for having 43 millionaires work for him. Someone asked him one day, “How did you get 43 self sufficient, millionaires to work for you?” Carnegie answered “Well, they weren’t millionaires when they started to work for me.” Carnegie continued “You develop people the same way you mine gold. When you go to a goldmine, you remove tons and tons of dirt to find gold…but you don’t go in there looking for the dirt, you go in looking for the gold.” But what’s even more interesting is that you will find whatever it is you go in there looking for.

Zig closed the seminar with what I truly believe in my heart is a way of life, not just a parable or story. Zig tells a story about a man given a choice to go to either heaven or hell. He goes to heaven first and he sees where there is tons and tons of food and fruits and vegetables, and people just having a ball. Goes to hell and there is the same food, but the people there are so sad and miserable. So the man asks because he doesn’t understand, how come if in both places people have the same food, same amount one place can be so happy and the other so miserable. Then it is explained to the man that the reason the people in heaven were so happy was because they had a 3 foot fork and was helping each other to eat and feast upon the plethora of food, whereas in hell, no one wanted t help anybody.

Whether you are self-employed or working for someone, having and maintaining good relationships isn’t rocket science. Just treat people how you want to be treated, listen to them, and be kind. If you help enough people get what they want, you will enrich your life along the way. I promise you!

A quote from Calvin and Hobbes... " Sometimes I think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us."

Have you ever had that feeling... A vague sense that you are all alone? That something "out there" could significantly impact your life if only you had contact?

If you have ever felt that way, or currently feel that way about your network marketing company, you are not the only one with that burden.

When I started my mlm, I thought I had the best team available! Frequent contact, direct link to the top dude in the company - one with behind the scenes access to corporate.

For the first month or two, there were weekly calls, three way calls, e-mails, webinars...support of the kind needed to get you up and going - fast.

I made some prospect conversions, built a grasp of the info and was able to talk shop to anyone - and I did... to the point of scaring off many prospects.

Slowly the communication and support started to fade. I found myself more and more to be working on my own.

Yes, there is a point where you need to take steps on your own, and I was capable of doing that. But...

There was suddenly a void. There was no more information on how to build my business. I was tapped out on ideas and leads.

To make it seem worse, the universe of knowlege was not contacting me.

Someone in the group suggested buying lead lists... which I did, and got a few customers. But I was not growing my business, and worse yet, those I had sponsored were ending up right where I was.

It seemed like it was time for an extr-terrestrial experience of sorts. There was this great expanse sitting out there with knowlege that I needed.

      The Internet....

Yeah, that can be scary sifting through the swindlers, the scammers, the crap information, the out dated... How do you know what works and what doesn't?

The answer to that question can be given in one word. "Mentor."

I started to search for people with un-touchable reputations... who had used the very techniques they were talking about to achieve unbelievable success.

To put it another way... would you ask a real estate agent who drives a Pinto and rents his appartment from his mother how to invest, or Donald Trump?

The best information comes from those who have applied what they know successfully.

In network marketing, there are plenty of proclaimed gurus. I found myself attracted to the methods of several who had turned how networking is done upside down.

If $250k in 4 months, being a top position in a company, or sponsoring 20-50 directly into their primary business in a week isn't a great resume, I don't know what is.

The internet has all the "intelligence" you could ever imagine floating around out there in space, accessible to anyone who wishes to look through the telescope of their browser to find it.

      Are you looking yet?

For most of us, it’s obvious that the bulk of the decisions we make on a daily basis are based upon the summation of our previous experience. Then combined with some sort of reactive observation. “That looks hot, I once was burned, don’t touch it.” A rather simplistically calculated decision to a situation, correct? There are a lot of philosophical explanations to this phenomenon, (of which I have no desire whatsoever to regurgitate.) However, the idea of understanding, evaluating and augmenting our decision making process, is quite possibly one of the most effective, yet difficult things to do.

As entrepreneurs, we are consistently confronted with decisions, both minute and large in scope, that will severely affect our bottom line one way or another. These decisions usually carry with them some sort of emotional impact that is equally important (we are not robots after all…not yet at least), and making decisions that seem contrary to our emotional compass (outside our comfort zone) is a discipline that we all must cultivate.

The nature of the entrepreneurial attitude puts us in unprecedented situations constantly. Sometimes I find myself so far out of my comfort zone it makes me sick to my stomach. Circumstances that I have no frame of reference or prior experience of. How do we make sound decisions in times like these…?

What we must do mentally is not as difficult as it may seem. It simply requires us to embody an objective stance. A third party perspective so to speak. This does not mean that we divorce our prior experience and emotional compass from our decision making process. But we, as human beings, are highly capable of turning these situations into opportunities for mental growth. It simply requires us to stop projecting, or interjecting our personal bias, or past experiences upon the current dilemma. We must assess the situation logically and objectively, and then act accordingly with the best information on hand at the time. At that point you have to then trust that the best decision was made, and stick to your guns.

This doesn’t require any special skills, or crazy amounts intelligence. We all have a natural intelligence within ourselves that is only hindered by, well, bad habits and programming. Bad habits can be changed. Many of us are introspective by nature anyway, but you must take the time to consciously make the habitual changes that you seek. This is hard work. Learning something new can seem daunting, but the reality is when you engage yourself mentally, you usually discover something you already know.

    • The IRS on Tuesday announced new steps to ease pressure on people struggling to pay taxes during the global economic crisis.

It's the second time in as many months that the agency has pointed to current events as a reason for changing its enforcement rules.

IRS employees now have greater flexibility to work with taxpayers, including the ability to temporarily delay collection activity such as sending letters to or calling the taxpayer, garnishing wages and other enforcement steps, said Doug Shulman, commissioner of the IRS, in a conference call with reporters.
"I've instructed all personnel at the IRS to be sensitive to taxpayers, especially previously compliant taxpayers who are for the first time having a hard time paying the IRS," Shulman said. IRS employees "have been given broader latitude to potentially suspend collection actions."

Also, if a taxpayer with an existing installment agreement or offer-in-compromise (a contract whereby the IRS settles a tax bill for less than the full amount due) misses a payment, that will no longer lead to an automatic end to the agreement, Shulman said. "We recognize there might be individuals who have to miss a payment."

In December, the IRS said it will work to quickly resolve tax liens on homes if they stand in the way of a taxpayer selling or refinancing the house.

      Get in touch
But taxpayers won't get help if they don't contact the IRS, Shulman said.

"The only way we're going to be able to work with people is if they reach out and talk to us," he said. "If someone doesn't contact us, they're going to end up in trouble with the government. If they [contact us], our people have been instructed to work with taxpayers and try to help them work through these economic times."

To contact the IRS, taxpayers who've received a notice from the agency should call the number on the notice. Those who have not yet received a notice should call the general IRS number. See this IRS page for contact information.

If you're current on your taxes now but fear you won't be able to pay up this year, be sure to file a tax return anyway. The failure-to-file penalty is steeper than the failure-to-pay penalty, so file your return and then contact the agency to assess your options.

The IRS will "continue to run vigorous enforcement programs," Shulman said. "This isn't a free ride. People who can pay still need to pay," he said. "Pick up the phone ... we've instructed all our telephone assistors and all our people in the field to work with taxpayers to the extent they have a legitimate issue."

The volatile question of home equity
The IRS is easing other rules related to offers-in-compromise, too. In the past, if a taxpayer's home equity equaled the value of her tax bill, the IRS wouldn't agree to an offer-in-compromise. But under the new rules, taxpayers whose OICs are denied based solely on the value of their home will have their case taken up by a new IRS unit that will assess whether the home value is correct.

"Home equity values are in a lot of flux right now. The market is hard to gauge. Sometimes that piece of paper that says your home is worth a certain amount may or may not be true," Shulman said. "We have a unit of experts who will work through this issue."
The IRS also will work more quickly to release levies on taxpayers' bank accounts or wages, he said.

      Free e-file for all
Also, the IRS said that for the first time this year, any taxpayer will be able to fill out tax forms online and file them electronically for free.

Up until now, many but not all taxpayers were eligible for the IRS "free file" program, in which the tax agency partners with for-profit tax software providers to offer both free software and electronic filing to some people.
Starting this year, a number of tax forms will be available for free for any taxpayer to use on the IRS' free file site. Taxpayers who feel comfortable doing their taxes without the assistance and prompts provided by tax software can go to the Web site, fill out their forms online on their own and file them electronically for free, starting in mid-January.

The tax agency also noted that taxpayers who didn't receive a stimulus check in 2008, or whose finances changed substantially from 2007 to 2008, should assess whether they're eligible for a recovery rebate credit.

The stimulus payment is not taxable income, Shulman noted.

Separately, the IRS said it has posted new information on its Web site, IRS.gov, related to the current financial crisis, including answers to various tax questions such as "What if I lose my job?" and "What if I withdraw money from my retirement account?"

    • For Home Business Owners interested in getting started with Google Pay-Per-Click:

CTR — Click Through Rate — This number is a percentage of how many people actually click on your ad compared to how many time your ad was shown. For example, if your ad shows 100 times, and out of those 100 times, 2 people actually click on your ad, you would have a CTR rate of 2%.

CPC — Cost Per Click — This is how much you are paying every time someone clicks on your ad. Your goal should be to have your CPC at $0.80 or less for each keyword. Conversion Rate – This is the percentage of people that go to your website AND fill out the opt-in form on your page.

Impressions — This is how many times your ad was shown in search results.

Avg. Pos — Average Position — This is your average position in the Google search results. Your goal is to remain between positions 4 to 7. Any higher, and you are wasting money on “click happy” people who aren’t serious. Any lower, and you may not be receiving enough views or your ad.

Ad Group — An Ad or group of ads with relevant keywords in it.

Keyword — This is what people type into the Google search bar when they do a search on Google. For example, “business” could be a keyword. “Start a business” can also be referred to as a keyword (even though it’s more than 1 word). Keywords with more than one keyword can also be referred to as "Keyword Phrases", but are most commonly referred to as "keywords." Perry Marshall - The most trusted Google Adwords expert.

    • Do you want to know the secrets to success in a home-based business?  Read on...
      1.     Wanna-be's obsess about ideas. Entrepreneurs obsess about implementation. Don't get stuck in Analysis Paralysis. Look at what the top income producers are doing and copy them. No need to re-invent the wheel.

      2.     Wanna-be's want more web traffic. Entrepreneurs focus on sales conversion. Use a marketing system that closes the sales FOR you! You do not want to be a sales person. You also want a system that will do this for your new members as well, giving you the ability to earn ridiculous amounts of residual income.

      3.     Wanna-be's focus on positive thinking. Entrepreneurs plan for multiple contingencies. Positive thinking is important but you are not a Jedi, yet. You cannot move things with your mind or conjure money out of thin air. Positive thinking will only get you so far. You must have Positive thinking combined with specific, targeted action.

      4.     Wanna-be's want to get on TV and get "famous." Entrepreneurs build their businesses and their list. Let the ego go. Your only goal is to make as much money as possible as quickly as possible. This will inspire others to do the same.

      5.     Wanna-be's seek a perfect plan and wait for the perfect time. Entrepreneurs execute and take action when they see an opportunity. Entrepreneurs accept educated risk and are able to make big decisions quickly once they have all the information. Make a decision and take some risk. No successful entrepreneur accomplished any significant by playing it safe!

      6.     Wanna-be's wait for their lucky break. Entrepreneurs take responsibility and create their OWN circumstances.

      7.     Wanna-be's fear looking stupid in front of their friends. Entrepreneurs willingly risk making fools of themselves, knowing that long-term success is a good trade for short-term loss of image. Don't listen to your friends and family-They are BROKE. They have zero credibility as far as financial decisions are concerned. Surround yourself with people who have results and do what they do. This is the only way to fast track your wealth.

      8.     Wanna-be's shield their precious ideas from harsh reality, postponing the verdict of success or failure until 'someday.' Entrepreneurs expose their ideas to cold reality as soon as reasonably possible. Don't be afraid to look stupid. That is just ego screwing with you. One way to know you are on the right track is when you lose anything in common with all of your brokes friends and family. They don't count, unless you want their results! PERIOD!

      9.     Wanna-be's put off practicing basketball until they've got Air Jordan's. Entrepreneurs practice barefoot behind the garage. Stop waiting for the perfect time, the perfect opportunity, the perfect situation. Take decisive action now and stop procrastinating.

      10.   Wanna-be's believe what they're told. Entrepreneurs do original research and make their own decisions. Do your due diligence and follow you gut. It will rarely lead you astray.

      11.   Wanna-be's believe they can do anything. Entrepreneurs use systems and technology to solve the variables that most people struggle with.

      12.   Wanna-be's think about the world in terms of COULD and SHOULD. Entrepreneurs think in terms of IS and CAN BE.

You can have it all if you really believe you can. Figure out who you are, what you want, and stop settling for less!
