    • I bought a Scentsy Wickless Candle for a friend and they are definitely pretty cool. They have been growing substantially since they first introduced their products. I was only able to experience one scent and it was ok, but I found it to be extremely strong, and we had to use a fraction of the recommended amount of wax because the smell was too much. Perhaps in a bigger place the product would have fit in a bit better. The holder was very attractive, built well, and of high quality, it was light, well constructed and performed exactly as promised.

The company has a pretty large selection to choose from both of designs and scents. I will say that for me, there is a subtlety to the smell and scent of regular candles, and a kind of light that just can't be imitated with a bulb. I would not use the products for me, but much can be said for the fact that they are safer to use, and less messy. This is a product I'd suggest for a fairly large area, and perhaps in a household with children. Good product, good price.

    • I recently received a wickless candle as a gift and thought it was pretty neat so I did some research. I had no idea that the company, Scentsy, was so popular. I discovered that Inc.500 named Scentsy the number one fastest growing consumer products and services company in the country, due to its growth rate of over 8000 percent. Even more impressive to me was the fact that the Idaho based company was started by a man who was nearly bankrupt when he started Sentsy.

The innovative idea seems to be appealing to many consumers- its easier and safer than candles. I can switch it on in the kitchen and not be worried about my house burning down if I walk into the other room for a few moments. I would love to get a Sensy catalog or some more information about their products. Can anyone help me out?

    • There are things I especially like about Scentsy. The product is high quality yet still affordable. The product is very unique. Scentsy warmers are designed by and manufactured for Scentsy so they aren't just buying from a wholesale supplier and selling under their own name. They have total quality control over their products and it shows in the care they put in to the products. The shipping is affordable...and that's a big plus to me. The business marketing materials are top notch and professional. The system is simple and the business can be worked in many ways. I think a lot of the consultants are just enjoying the products, the company, and other consultants.

    • Both my wife and I are Scentsy Reps as we have just joined. We love it! We even were finally able to finish a website that promotes all Scentsy products.

Honestly? If you're considering joining, I would highly recommend it.

    • Hi Jan,

My husband and I are Scentsy reps. It was actually my husband that was interested in doing it in the first place. He loves the 'candles'. They really aren't candles at all, to be honest. They are nice looking wax warmers and the scents are very nice. Take a look at the Scentsy products at our website. There is usually something to match up nicely in most homes.

      Cheers!

    • Hi Jan-

I am not a Scentsy Consultant, just an interested consumer...I love candles and burn them all the time, so when I joined Repspace and saw the forum of Scentsy wickless candles I looked into it a little bit.

I cannot speak to the recent growth or what puts Scentsy ahead of other companies, but I can tell you a little about what I learned...

Scentsy, Inc. is a  party plan company offering a variety of scented, wickless candles heated in decorative ceramic warmers.  These warmers seem to be electric as they use a  low-watt light bulb to melt  wickless candle bars. Kind of like the Easy Bake Oven my daughter uses.  HA!  They also have room sprays, travel size products and even stuff for your car.

Here is a link that you might find helpful:

Hope this helps a little, Happy searching...

    • I've noticed in recent months that Scentsy's growth has just been off the chart.

      http://www.mlmrankings.com/scentsy/trend.htm

They now rank in the top five companies on MLMRankings.

Can anyone explain this recent growth? Is there something about being a Scentsy Consultant that puts this company ahead of other companies selling candle products?

Are they actually selling candles, or candle chunks that are melted in a warmer, or am I completely misunderstanding the product?

    • What an awesome idea that is!

Your Scentsy customers must absolutely love you for that :)

Maybe you should write to Scentsy and tell them yourself to make the little samples. They seem like a family company and would likely love to hear such a  great idea from one of their own consultants.

    • I agree that small testers would be better. I usually melt down the wax and make mini scent testers to include when I send out the semi-annual catalog. It would be a lot easier if Scentsy made them. :)

    • I like them very much in fact, and received a warmer and some squares for Valentines day, and the warmer is beautiful and a good size. Makes a very nice addition to any room.

I will add one caveat however. It would be nice if the company began to think about offering some sort of tester line, maybe a matchbook of the most popular scents, so that customers can tell what they're buying before they buy it. The scents are extremely strong; read that, EXTREMELY. I melted one square just until there was approximately a millimeter of wax coating the warmer cup, and then had to shut it off because it got too strong.

If you are using it in a very wide open space you may have more time to use more wax, or, as I'm sure might be the case, different scents will be less intense. The scent smells very pretty in the packaging. So maybe a good rule of thumb is if you like it in the package, multiply that by at least 25% for intensity. I'm still really crazy about the whole idea and the company though, so maybe I'll just try another scent.

    • Scentsy has gone from being one of the top performers on MLMRankings to being one of the top five companies overall. MLMRankings.com now shows Scentsy as being number five by public interest overall, just behind Lia Sophia and ahead of Tupperware.

That's an amazing accomplishment in such a short time.

    • Hi Jim,

If I'm correct, MLMRankings simply displays those companies that are receiving the most attention publicly on the Internet; it is an Internet popularity percentile rank. They are obviously getting themselves out there and have generated a substantial amount of interest in their products online in places like Facebook, Twitter, and even YouTube.

Scentsy also has the competitive advantage of being new, as well as unique, in a market that has been saturated for the most part. Scentsy has wickless candles, a novelty, and fresh scents as well. Combined with an aggressive push to place themselves in a prominent position of their particular niche, Scentsy's increased MLMRankings rating makes sense.

    • Scentsy doesn't allow consultants to stock inventory for resale, do they? I'm a consultant and my understanding is that you cannot stock inventory.  Orders are simply placed via an authorized Scentsy.us replicated site, which can be linked to from a store-front site like http://www.candlemadness.com.

    • I just checked out your webpage, nicely done btw, and followed the link back to the headquarters page.

Scentsy looks like high quality products with a great back story.  How are you finding sales to be in this economy.

      Just curious

    • Hi Eric-

I've never heard of Scentsy other than here on Repspace, I'm not really looking to get into the business of selling it, but would be interested in hearing a little bit more about your product line and what the 'draw' is.  I'm a huge candle person and always like to try new things...

      Happy Holidays

    • Hi Fellow Scentsy Consultants!

I am building up my inventory, trying to keep a few products on hand that get ordered most often. What do you keep on hand? Does it change with the seasons? Lately my customers have been buying a lot of Bamboo Tali warmers and the most popular scent seems to be Cinnamon Vanilla. How about you?

      Cheers,

      Eric

    • Hi All,

I signed up for my repspace page earlier this year, but haven't looked around much until now. Nice to see so many others! I see that some of you have links on the directory pages. How are those working out?

      Cheers,

    • First I want to say thank you for all of you who have had the faith in me to customize these forms for you.  It has made my repeat customer orders tremendously simple for them to submit.

I have had quite an overwhelming response to my Customized Order Forms. The order forms are great to send to your customers, especially your regular ones. They simply fill out the form and hit the SUBMIT button and the completed order form comes directly to your email Inbox. Because the response was so great, it also became very time consuming. I am still happy to do the forms for you, however, I now find it necessary to charge a small fee for them. I will be charging a $5 fee to customize the forms for anyone interested.

I am able to add almost any information/image that you wish.  If there is a different image you would like used, you can forward that to me and I will do my best to replace the current image for you.  I don't seem to be able to attach the doc here, so if you would like to view a sample, you can email me for that also.

This fee can be sent via PayPal to emily.ethompson@gmail.com. In the PayPal message section, please include your Name, Email, Website, Phone and any other contact information you would like listed.  Those not using PayPal may also contact me by email to set up another form of payment.

For any of you who have requested a form but have not yet received one, please follow this proccess if you are still interested.  Thanks for all of your interest and support!
